Jay Malla

Here and Now

It is great to hear the second track from Jay Malla, and Here and Now really shows off a different side of his artistry. I am a big fan of the R&B vibe he has leaned into for this one. The chord progressions are sophisticated and the bass lines are incredibly smooth, giving the whole track a great foundation to sit on.

As with the previous song I heard from him, the guitar work is absolutely stellar. That organic touch is becoming a real signature for him, and the guitar solo in this track is another highlight that brings a lot of soul to the production. The overall vibe is very cohesive, and those background vocals in the final section do a fantastic job of lifting the energy right at the end.

She'll Never Be My Girl

Pop

My thoughts on "She'll Never Be My Girl" by Jay Malla

There is such a refreshing, organic soul to this track that really stands out. The production on She'll Never Be My Girl feels alive, and that authentic band driven energy is exactly what this kind of songwriting needs. I am a huge fan of the guitar work here because you just cannot beat a well executed solo, and this one hits the spot perfectly.

The story has a great trajectory, and I love the little production touches that bring the narrative to life. The call and response between the man and the girl in the chorus is a brilliant move as it adds so much depth and character to the mix. Plus, those "Oooh" parts in the bridge section are working beautifully to lift the song right when it needs it.

sakiru

starlight

This is a fantastic debut for Sakiru. Starlight captures that late-night energy perfectly, and the city-pop influence gives it a really cool, nostalgic shimmer that fits the indie-pop genre well. I love the way the song builds throughout the track; the contrast between those soft, introspective verses and the more urgent, emotional chorus is executed beautifully.
The production does a great job of staying minimal and atmospheric, allowing the vocal phrasing to really carry the weight of the lyrics. It feels very intimate, which clearly aligns with the goals for this new project.

Jaclyn Bradley

Chicago

aclyn Bradley is an American singer-songwriter, best known for her work on The Voice of Holland, Ireland’s Got Talent, and Vh1. She is also known for her published music therapy research and vocal instruction at Rock Town Music Academy, the music school she founded in 2020. Her single "Hometown" has been featured in the 2025 film "Beneath the Light" and she recently opened for female country music veteran, Deana Carter.

An international performer, Jaclyn’s first language is music. A native of Lorain, Ohio, she has an opera degree from Indiana University.

After graduation, she moved to New York City only 10 days before the 9-11 attacks. With the world in uncertainty (and her roommate an employee in one of the towers), Bradley picked up her guitar in the aftermath and started to write. After recording an album with her New York-based band, Jaclyn moved West to Los Angeles to become a solo recording artist. She recorded two albums and toured the LA music scene as a singer/songwriter and as back-up singer to Ty Stone (Kid Rock, Atlantic Records), Michael Satrazemis (The Walking Dead), Gretchen Bonaduce (Vh1), sang alongside Terri Nunn (Berlin) and recorded with Joshua Grange (Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile).

Not long after landing in California, Jaclyn was hired as personal assistant to notorious “bad boy” celebrity, Danny Bonaduce. She filmed two seasons of the hit Vh1 series, Breaking Bonaduce with Danny, and her original songs were licensed and performed live on the show. Since then, Jaclyn and her music have been featured on MTV, Bravo, TLC, HGTV, and in film.

In addition to writing and performing, Jaclyn is a board certified music therapist. She led the largest music therapy study in history to research live music in surgery, which was published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, one of the world’s premier high-impact medical journals.

While living in Europe, Jaclyn recorded two albums, appeared as a cast member on The Voice of Holland, performed on Ireland’s Got Talent, and sang at Noorderzon music festival.

Also a filmmaker, Jaclyn's music videos and documentary film, Made of Gold, have been recognized globally. Her short film/music video, Love the Bodies We’re in premiered at Graumen’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood as official selection in the Dances with Films festival.

Pop - Indie

My thoughts on "white boy i sat next to on the plane" by Kiey

The indie vibe on this track is really captivating. There is a beautiful simplicity to the arrangement that allows the vocals to take center stage. I especially love how the voice has this fragile, vulnerable quality—it is the heart of the song and works perfectly within this minimalist setting. Additionally, the music video works really well with the track, capturing that same intimate and visual energy that the song evokes.

My thoughts on No Second by Angelzoom

The cinematic atmosphere of No Second is truly impressive. Right from the start, the dark electronic vibe sets a powerful stage, and the production feels very intentional in its storytelling. Virtual Sound Tour

Reset

My thoughts on Reset by Virtual Sound Tour
The energy on Reset is a great surprise. The way it blends that upbeat Ska vibe with a distinct Latin touch is really well done and gives the track a lot of infectious personality. It’s a fantastic example of how vibrant and fun this type of production can be.
Sonically, the foundation is very strong. I really like the tone of the drums, though if I were to be picky, the kick drum could benefit from a bit more warmth to help it feel more grounded. Overall, I’d love to hear a slightly more open tone across the mix to give the horns and percussion even more room to breathe.
To help with that clarity, you can try creating a "vocal pocket" in the instrumental. By applying a subtle, wide cut in the instrumental mix(usually around 1kHz to 3kHz).you can clear out the clutter and let the lead elements sit right in the center without fighting the guitars or horns.
My main piece of constructive feedback is regarding the arrangement. I would love to see more variation as the song progresses, especially toward the end. Creating a stronger build-up and a definitive climax would give the track that "big finish" energy that makes this genre really pop.
Additionally, since this is aimed toward a sun-soaked summer pop vibe, I think the song could be edited a bit shorter. Keeping it under 3 minutes would help maintain a high level of energy. You can achieve this by using some "radio edit" cut points—like shortening the second verse or the transition into the bridge.to get to that final high-energy chorus faster. This leaves the listener wanting to hit replay immediately.
Overall, it’s an impressive and catchy track. I’m definitely curious to see where Virtual Sound Tour takes this sound next!

THE BREAKBOMB PROJECT

Lender

EDM

The BreakBomb Project is an experimental EDM outfit founded by Brandon Greenstein in July 2018. After the debut of his first single “World”, Greenstein hit the ground running with the production of other top hits like “Breakdown” and “Fly Away”. The end of 2018 ended with the release of “Up ‘Till the Morning”, garnering much success for the young artist. Greenstein went on to debut a new single “One Love”, a teaser that was released at the start of 2019 for the debut album, “The Project” which featured hit singles like “Goodnight” and “Ticking”.
In 2020, TBBP started the year with a new single, “Deep End.” The song found massive success on TikTok and other social media platforms. Later in the year, Greenstein worked with singer/songwriter Ava Petrillo on “WHY,” which made its way onto radio charts and curated Spotify playlists.
Soon came a collaboration with upcoming singer Ryan Violet on “Drugs Don’t Work,” including a music video and support from various producers and DJs.
The BreakBomb Project continues to set the standard high from a creative.

Dax

God, Can You Hear Me?

My thoughts on God, Can You Hear Me? by Dax
The energy on God, Can You Hear Me? is incredibly moving. Right away, the sheer power of the vocals and the weight of the lyrics hit home. I specifically love the blend Dax achieves here.
Movng seamlessly from sharp rapping to singing beautifully. It shows a lot of versatility and keeps the listener engaged with the narrative as it unfolds.

The piano production works perfectly with the overall vibe, providing a somber, elegant foundation. It’s a very well-defined production where the energy matches the lyrics perfectly as the song builds up. One of my favorite aspects is the vocal production; there is so much great "ear candy" tucked into the mix, and those subtle echoes really make the lyrics shine.

If I were to offer one piece of constructive criticism, it would be that the track is on the longer side.
For example, that massive chorus that comes in around the 4:10 mark is such a high point.
I would have loved to hear that energy hit a bit earlier in the arrangement to hook the listener even sooner.
To achieve this, you could use some "radio edit" techniques, like slightly condensing the second verse or shortening the intro to get to the emotional peaks faster.
Besides that, everything works really well. It’s a powerful, polished piece of work, and the balance between the intimate piano and the expansive vocal effects is spot on. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what Dax drops next.

Thomas Bruggemann

"Worth It"

Pop

"Worth It" is a very strong production. I really enjoy Thomas Bruggemann’s overall tone and vibe throughout the track.

The production is highly effective, successfully capturing the essence of a modern Top 40 hit and working perfectly within the genre. It is honestly one of the better-crafted pop songs I’ve heard recently in this style.

Everything I have to say about the track is positive. The only minor adjustment I would consider is adding a bit more variation toward the end. Since the song is fairly long, you might try either changing the instrumentation for the final chorus or shortening the overall runtime by about 20 to 40 seconds to keep the energy tight.

Looking forward to hearing more from him!

Alexandre Allix

"Motion"

"Motion" has a fantastic synth-pop energy that immediately caught my ear. I can definitely hear some of those "The Weeknd" vibes in the production, which gives the track a really sleek and modern feel. It’s refreshing to hear a song with this much character in an era where so much music feels overly AI-generated.

The track is really good overall and has a great atmosphere. For some constructive feedback, I think the production could benefit from a slightly more open-sounding mix to really let those synth layers and textures breathe. Additionally, I feel like the track could possibly be a bit shorter to keep the momentum tight and the energy high throughout.

Regarding the stylistic lane, I think this is a very strong direction for the project. The blend of nostalgic synth textures with a modern pop sensibility feels very current and hits a great sweet spot for the genre. It’s a lane that definitely has a lot of potential for growth.

Looking forward to hearing more from Alexandre!

Romy Carvin

Bad Limerence

Pop

"Bad Limerence" is a very strong production. I really enjoy Romy Carvin’s overall tone and vibe; she has captured that Taylor Swift-inspired energy perfectly, which works so well for this track.

The production is highly effective, successfully leaning into that Top 40 sound. It is honestly one of the better-crafted pop songs I’ve heard recently in this style. It’s impressive how well the essence of a modern hit was captured here.

Everything I have to say about the track is positive. The only minor adjustment I would consider is adding a bit more variation toward the end to keep the listener engaged. Maybe changing the instrumentation for the final chorus or more?
Regarding the stylistic lane, I think this is a fantastic direction for the project. The crossover between relatable songwriting and polished pop production is a sweet spot with a lot of potential.

2:00 AM

Pop

"2AM" is a very strong production. I really enjoy the overall tone and vibe; I can definitely hear those Maroon 5 and Ryan Tedder influences in the writing and production style, which gives it a really polished, radio-ready feel.

The production works perfectly within the pop genre, successfully capturing that modern Top 40 essence. It’s honestly one of the better-crafted tracks I’ve heard in this lane recently.

Everything I have to say about the song is positive. The only thing I would possibly suggest is adding a bit more variation toward the end. Since the song is only about 2 minutes long, it could really benefit from an additional bridge or a slight change in instrumentation for the final chorus to give it that extra lift before it wraps up.

Regarding the stylistic lane, I think this is a fantastic direction for the project. The blend of soulful pop melodies with a high-end production style is a major sweet spot.

Looking forward to hearing more from Adam Swift!

How Did This Happen?

Pop

"How Did This Happen?" has a great vibe that leans a bit more into the pop/alternative space than straight-up rock. It’s a refreshing change of pace, and I really appreciate the overall energy and the "raw" feel of the track in this current era of highly processed AI music.

The song is really good overall. For some constructive feedback, I think the vocals could be mixed a bit tighter to help them sit more prominently in the track. Additionally, making the arrangement feel a bit more open-sounding could really give the production some extra room to breathe.

The overall production and vibe are really good. If I were to suggest one minor tweak, it would be to make the mix a bit tighter to really make those elements pop, but the core of the song is solid.

Sinatic x Meeduza

Almost Yours

Pop

Review: Sinatic x Meeduza – "Almost Yours"

"Almost Yours" is a sleek slice of contemporary pop that immediately grabs attention with its polished production and infectious energy. A collaboration between Sinatic and Meeduza, the track leans into a sophisticated, club-ready sound while maintaining the melodic accessibility that defines a radio hit. From the opening notes, the synth work feels both atmospheric and purposeful, setting a moody yet driving foundation that keeps the listener locked in.

The chemistry between the two artists shines through the song's rhythmic structure. While many pop tracks fall into predictable patterns, "Almost Yours" plays with tension and release, using a pulsating bassline to bridge the gap between its vulnerable lyrical themes and its high-energy drop. The vocal performance is a standout, delivering a sense of longing that feels authentic, ensuring that the track resonates on an emotional level even as it demands you move to the beat.

Overall, this release solidifies Sinatic's reputation for high-quality, genre-blending pop. It manages to feel current without being derivative, carving out a space that is as suitable for a late-night drive as it is for a crowded dance floor. For fans of the genre, it’s a refreshing addition to their playlists—a testament to what happens when sharp songwriting meets top-tier electronic production.

Mirror

pop

Elise has an amazing vocal tone and a great vibe overall. "Mirror Mirror" has a nice flow and direction, and the production style fits the genre well.

Constructive Criticism:
While I like the overall vibe, the instrumentation feels a bit "busy" for my taste. Specifically, the drums feel a bit too aggressive and present, which clashes slightly with the relaxed feel of the track. At times, the production has so much going on that it almost outshines the vocals.

I would love to hear the vocals treated as the true star of the song, keeping the instrumentation more minimal to let her voice shine. It’s a solid song and production overall, and I’m looking forward to hearing more from Elise!

The song is interesting and engaging at the same time. the instrumentation of the song feel modern a nice blend of "live" Feel and programmed instrumentation.

Constructive criticism:

i feel like the mix could be a but tighter overall for my taste. In general i like songs with a very forward lead vocals and in this case i would love to hear Venika just slightly more over the mix to showcase her vocals even more.

Lara Mae

Snow

electronic pop/DnB

Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed listening through this whole song.
In a genre often crowded with heavy production, Lara Mae’s "Snow" stands out through subtraction.

By leaning into a minimal electronic landscape, she allows the "vocal-led" promise of the track to truly shine.
The DnB influence is subtle rather than overbearing, acting as a heartbeat for the song's exploration of emotional tension. It’s a sophisticated piece of indie-electronic pop that prioritizes space and intimacy over flashy drops, making it a must-add for late-night or "chill-focus" curation.

What to give a bit of constructive criticism I would say that the song being on the longer side I did appreciate having dad bridge transition towards the last half of the song.
But it felt like it took a while to get there if that makes sense
I would kind of enjoy hearing that's part of the song earlier if that makes sense I know sometimes it's difficult to cut anything out but if there is an option, I think the listener would really enjoy listening to that bridge section.
In that same vein of thought I would say that adding a bit more variation possibly extra effects for transition between section would greatly enhance the vibe.
Possibly adding some ear candy and things here and there would be really cool as well.
But overall I really enjoyed listening to it and I'm looking forward to hearing more from her. Thank you for sharing your music with me.

The arrangement works overall very well the blend of instrument feels very purposeful.

I to give a bitch of production feedback I would say that's just Song being a bitch on the longer side almost 4 minutes try to possibly add a bit more variation or transition elements between the sections.
Possibly creating a streaming or radio, edit geared more towards Spotify and such.
But overall I really enjoyed listening to Bill Popp and the Tapes.

Dreameater

Nyco Dinesh

Pop /Hiphop

Nyco Dinesh did a really good job at capturing the vibe of this Dreameater Track.

Even though this is not the type of music, I usually listen to. I enjoy listening through the whole track.
To give some feedback on the sound I would say that looking at the production it would benefit to add a bit more variation.

I do love the overall tone of the drums and the 808 hitting pretty hard in the chorus so that's a really w

Right now the song feels a bit static and uniform. Especially because it's over three minutes I would try to add a bit more variation, especially through the builds ups, and towards the end of this song.

Looking forward to hearing more of his music and see him grow

Since it’s an AI-generated track, though, you can definitely tell in some spots. It feels a little "flat" or generic at times—kind of like it’s staying on one level the whole way through. I’d love to see it get a bit more "fancy" with the production. If it had more variation and dynamics to break up the flow, it wouldn't feel quite so "AI."

BF/C

Thin Prayers

Pop

Steeped in drum machines, synth, acoustic guitar, and smouldering bass, and born from a community of amazing musicians, artists, and producers, BF/C maneuvers in electropop painted in warm, vivid colours. With the crooning swagger of Rod Stewart, retro slick influences like Roxy Music and INXS, and the raw, shimmering sex of Fine Young Cannibals, the duo invokes desire, seduction, and longing in equal parts.

Releases and career highlights

BF/C has released two full-length LPs: The Unexpected Consequences of Feathers ( 2019, Tamiami Records) and Valet (2021, Tamiami Records). They also have a Swedish EP, Den Goda människan I Sequan (2017, Golden State of Mind Productions) and an EP, BF/C (2016, Golden State of Mind Productions). A third full-length album is forthcoming in 2025 after waterfall releasing all songs.

AI Generated Pop

The guitar work across the whole track is easily the highlight for me.

Les Shirley

Not My Problem

Rock - Pop

Montreal-based female rock trio LES SHIRLEY have zero interest in playing it safe. Delivering a unique brand of in-your-face, anthemic rock driven by pop melodies and a defiant punk attitude, the band channel urgency and conviction into every song. Formed in 2018, Raphaëlle Chouinard (lead vocals, guitar), Lisandre Bourdages (drums, backing vocals), and Sarah Dion (bass, backing vocals) have built their reputation on a take-no-shit presence that hits just as hard onstage as it does on record. With two full-length albums and one EP already under their belt, the band has toured relentlessly across Quebec, cultivated fanbases across Ontario, and built a formidable international following through six European tours, performing in Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, and a half dozen other countries. Their rise has included sharing stages with artists such as NOFX, Weezer, Sublime, Simple Plan, Billy Talent, The Beaches, Green Day, and Avril Lavigne. A career-defining moment came in 2023, when the Foo Fighters personally invited them to open at Montreal’s Verdun Auditorium. That upward trajectory continued with LES SHIRLEY joining Jimmy Eat World on their 2025 European tour. Rooted in lived experience, LES SHIRLEY’s catalogue draws power from feminist rage and a refusal to stay silent on a long list of issues including human rights, racism, and identity, reflecting the band’s perspective as members of the LGBTQ+ community and navigating a chaotic, inequitable world.

Pop - Rock/Punk

My thoughts on Take Your Breath by BeerMaster

I’ve been spinning Take Your Breath by BeerMaster, and honestly, the vibe is just spot on.

The first thing that jumped out at me was the vocals. They have this super original "taste" to them that I haven't really heard anywhere else yet. It’s hard to put my finger on, but it feels fresh. I also love how they layered everything—it’s got that perfect middle ground between punk grit and pop melody, and all those layers make the track feel really lush.

the death of internet

love love love

the death of internet records alone in a house hidden deep in the Scandinavian woods. Each track begins and ends on the same day—written, performed, and captured before the feeling can fade. Casio drum machines click against the walls, RE-202 echoes drift through the rooms, and nothing is corrected beyond what the moment allows. A bedroom producer by nature, the death of internet treats emotion as the highest form of precision. Imperfection is not avoided but welcomed; feeling is perfection. The result is music that sounds like it was found rather than crafted—lo-fi transmissions from a quiet place where time moves differently.

The Exit List

Rock/Pop

Twisting influences of Queens of the Stone Age with Portishead and turning from Spiritualised-sized gospel choruses to the gallow heavy swing of Black Sabbath, with sound as fast as light they move between their influential orbit to create a modern classic that is entirely their own. There isn't space in this genre the band haven't explored. This is a demonstration of their refusal to wait for permission to create a record that stands in scale with some of the most monumental albums in rock. The band's statement on their intent behind creating Luna Mausoleum was that it should be "greater and beyond all reason".
