I wrote a song and I wasn't happy about it. So I was sitting on my chair thinking of what to do, not feeling the greatest about it. Then I started thinking about things I have done recently that at one point I didn't think were possible. All of the suden I heard a few music notes in my head. I immediately went to my piano and started playing those notes and composing. It was a moment of hope, a "Glimmer".

I wanted it to be a piano piece with an orchestral accompaniment. I used a track by Yanni as a reference.

My biggest struggle was with the mix. There was a point where I felt like I did something in the mix that made me stop feeling. I decided to do a new quick volume balance with a different approach and then the feeling came back. I was happy at the end.

In the biggest energy section there are some details that I wanted to really come though with automation. Some parts where the instruments can shine. I like a part were the trumpet goes up high and also a marimba towards the end of the section. There some little moments here and there that the listener may miss but may notice by listening a few more times.

I always want the feeling of hope to come through. To feel like it's just the begining of something great.

To keep up a quick pace and not creating something just to create. I want to make sure it is meaningful and that I personally connect with. I want to be consistent but not just make something fluffy for the sake of keeping that consistency.

That you cannot make music your job and also enjoy it. I think if you love music you'll always love it and you should make it your job and think of it as a business if you need/want to.

I intentionally make the time to try to write or compose something and I stick with it. I don't wait for inspiration to hit.

I think it is possible. I create everything I post in Canva. And I try to take my own photos and videos when possible. It is still something I'm figuring out and one area that I struggle with. But I see it as necessary.

The new listener should listen to "The Village", it is similar sonically but a totally different mood. One that I enjoy a lot myself.
